does he have bluegrass voice? it’s a kind of addictive album, the songs are short and catchy and play together in a lovely way. i kind of suspect that sturgill simpson production is flattening this out in a way its not supposed to. i like that he is really young and sounds like it.

still think in terms of country songs written by young people but feel like they’ve been around forever lydia loveless wins. “I’ll find a rich man’s house and i’ll burn it down.”
