OH GOD IF SO THAT WAS COMPLETELY UNINTENTIONAL! I hate that film! But you did remind me of this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp7GRMw0138

I'll post what I posted on a private forum I go on:
Spoiler!
The greatest album ever made. Never had such an emotional reaction from anything before. It gave me panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, and even made me accept death. I came out as a different person after finishing this.

It's a concept album about dementia. The songs get more and more chaotic as it goes on.
Caretaker's 6 stage album experience is one of the most terrifying things you'll hear in music.

I wouldn't call this concept of dementia or memory loss, death, or growing old in music groundbreaking or unique, and that's what holds back this album from being pure perfection for me personally, but the way it feels so real on this collection is what strikes me. It's so real, the way the music changes so slowly yet is so noticeable is dreadful, to say the least.
It's profound, powerful, and disturbing. It's one of the best things I've ever experienced, and I never want to experience it again.
I'm just going to give this review and probably never touch this again. It's a work of art I assure you, one that is so powerful that it filled me with a dread I can't necessarily even explain. I'm not the most emotionally sound person, and inching near the first part of Stage 4 I started to feel an anxiety attack coming. Something about the sounds being familiar but distant and foreign, especially with the concept of the album in mind. After reading the full description of the album and going in with the full knowledge of its concepts made the album so much more intense and real. When the songs switched from strange names to a description of the state of mind of the person I couldn't handle it. I couldn't make it through... it hurt too much.
Do not listen to this if you're emotionally unstable

I have never heard a piece of music more crushing or destructive to my psyche, I had 3 breakdowns because of this.

It feels like your life is slowly slipping away and your brain cannot function. Which this is in fact what Leyland Kirby wanted, to say it was achieved is a huge understatement.

This will ruin you.
is heart-breaking, distressing, overwhelming. Once immersed you genuinely feel lost. It’s impossible to understand what is happening around you. It is confusing, overwhelming. You feel isolated. You might ask yourself why you would put yourself through such an experience but then isn’t that the power of all great art anyway – to experience and to feel unknown emotions, states, and perspectives? It’s not an easy journey but you feel different for undertaking it.

Yea lol. But it's 6 albums that were released every 6 months. You can listen to them separately.

I really like Everywhere At The End Of The Time but I can't listen to it for too long, so depressing. It sounds like what I imagine Alzheimers feels like.

Such a pleasantly chill, pastoral sound, might be his best album yet.

Here's a chart of my favorite albums of 2019 so far:

Image

The most recent adds are

Miscarriage - Imminent Horror
Goregrind in slow motion. The arrangements aren't anything special but the vocals are insane.

Young Nudy - SLI'MERRE
The star is the production. Favorite tracks are Sunflower Seeds and Joker.

My favorite of the year is still Xiu Xiu - Girl With Basket of Fruit.

Two compositions by Terje Rypdal for Heat. I think Mystery Man is one of my favorite songs from 90s cinema.

I've given 100 albums a 10/10. Would anyone be interested if I make a thread listing them?
