i have one too!
I'd only seen 2 of your year end roster but then last night I saw 'Suspense' (1946) on TCM\s Noir Alley! Great film but I found one unusual footnote tobe kind of hysterical. Belita, the Ice Maiden's film career was entirely made of roles where she ice skates. Yet, evidently, she did not care for it at all.

"I hated the ice. I hated the cold, the smell, everything about it. I only did it for the money." (Upon her retirement from skating in 1956)

she was in the winter olympics 1936! - flip and evelyn have been pushing it for awhile and it's far better than 'ice skating noir' suggests

My "best of 2024" revealed to me that I didn't really fall in love with anything from 2024 (yet!) but I saw a lot of older stuff that I really connected with this year.

i like gomes enough that i will probably give it another chance when it gets a proper theater release in march, but grand tour was one of my big crushing 2024 disappointments (the alonso being the other one)...

It was divisive among my audience as well. However, for me, it is the only 2024 release that I felt anything more than passing amusement with.
