I try to listen to Trout Mask Replica at least once a year; this year I discovered that it works really well as soundtrack to silent westerns.

i was reading -- they're connected at the roots. so after a fire you see a whole bunch of small ones coming up because the root survives. an aspen grove in utah is believed to be the largest living organism on earth. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pando_(tree)

Saw her live a few months ago on the 25th anniversary tour. The sound mixing and acoustics weren't great unfortunately, but she's absolutely still a star performer with a great voice. A packed arena with a diverse audience showed how far-reaching the album is (though it was weird that some didn't seem to recognise her Fugees songs, and only knew her for this album).
