SCFZ poll: Jean-Louis Trintignant

Post by MrCarmady »

The rules:

- I'll assume ballots are ranked unless you tell me otherwise. Unranked ballots are fine.

- Deadline for ballots: Tuesday the 28th of February

We'll use the extended rules for this poll:

• If you have seen an odd number of Trintignant films, you can round up instead of down when determining the length of your ballot (e.g. if you have seen 7, you can list 4 films instead of the usual 3)

• If you have seen more than 10 Trintignant films, your ballot can extend beyond 5 films (e.g. if you have seen 13, you can list up to 7)
However, the max number allowed in total is 10 even if you've seen 21+.

Apparently I've seen 6 (according to letterboxd).

Three of them were masterpieces:

01. …And God Created Woman (Roger Vadim, 1956)
02. Violent Summer (Valentino Zurlini, 1959)
03. Fire and Ice (Alain Cavalier, 1962)

Since there's only 11 ballots submitted, gonna keep this and the Deneuve poll (with 13 ballots) open for another week. Closing on the 7th of March.

Still hoping for more ballots, watched Z in the meantime which was superb and had JLT on great form as ever, I love that glint he gets in his eye when he catches someone lying to him. Making my decision for the list even more difficult, gonna watch one or two more then close. Same drill for Deneuve. Definitely need more ballots for Dietrich and Bogart as well. Since no-one has nominated any for next month, again, I asked ChatGPT and got Robert De Niro and Ingrid Bergman which I'm happy enough with.
