Re: What are you listening to?
listening to that tyler childers album, i can't help it. i like it
https://open.spotify.com/track/4Bu4aJ7x ... YEVs1u3txg
dunno if i needed a 4:00 bluegrass waltz of send in the clowns tho
also hopefully helps to convince the neighbors i'm actually ok before they come with pitchforks
i got my cat 13 years ago around this time. it's why i called her punkinhead alot. then trump ruined that my familiar isn't here to protect me
joking but someone did ask me if i'm a witch today cuz i have a japanese poster...

You probably can't see this message but hey, there's something we can agree on. Bluegrass junkie, so naturally enjoying some of Childers' new material.
not sure what to think of the new tyler childers thing. it is funny to see all the meltdowns on the country music sites, from "this is not perfect fiddling" to "more white people are killed by cops every year than black people." i do think i like it more as a gesture than a record...

still genuinely confounded when i remember that matt berry is a pretty good musician with no weird comedy adjacent context.
as far as country records i like the new lydia loveless a good deal, even if i think she's never going to quite match the quality of her first few records. she has an all time great country voice.

yeah, i'm definitely more partial to colter - childers seems to still be finding his way

I tried transcribing the lyrics!
I'm Japanese but I can't understand what he's saying, even a single word...
Ryutate totatetut tuttū tūsai
Esate kosateshu gyurtū shūsai
Esate kosateshu ryuttū shūsai
Esate kosateshu ryuttū shūno
Esate kosateshu ruttū shūsai

We’ll stay awake for three long days and drink lightning-struck seawater and let rainfall wash our souls clean again into the sun-drenched midnight of a past life mellow mushroom cloud oblivion soaring old time smokestack, breathe in haze and smog and toxicity and breathe out diamond clear birth mist as bright as the glowing morning gloom grows ever nearer to its brilliant end
masana temples is a great record. i really hoped the physical album would have a lyrics insert but it's just more lovely pictures of demons and gods and things.

first i've ever heard of this, amazing stuff. Thanks for sharing.
yeah it's sick, just bought it on vinyl
not a surprise at this point but the sturgill bluegrass record is kind of...dull?

They mastered their craft in this song. Fantastic album but this is still easily the best track. If they continue improving I can see them being huge in the trap scene
