Love this one! I was hooked on it again after Harmony Korine's The Beach Bum.

I saw Mitsuko Uchida a couple of months ago (feels like a year, though), can't believe the woman is 71, unreal.

These matters are best disposed of from a great height. Over water.
I've been listening to a lot of City Pop compilations lately. Youtube keeps recommending them and I've been too lazy to search for something else lol. They take me to a happy place.

Who would of thought some random young Swede would be the savior of hip hop

interested to hear greennui's swedish opinion on bladee
I'm not that familiar with Bladee but I was def into Yung Lean around 2013/2014. Always assumed the sad boys schtick would be a fad so it's staying power has def surprised me. There's nothing Swedish about their personas or music which is why their following is mainly international I think.

[Press release]
Pere Ubu are pairing tracks from the new live album, 'By Order Of Mayor Pawlicki,' (Cherry Red Records) with classic B-movies for presentation on DPK TV* (via The Avant Garage Fan Attic.) See the four already shown via this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... MNtuwFsxxh

pere ubu has been doing really cool stuff with classic films for some time now! apparently their carnival of souls live concerts were truly great (and the record of the same name isn't bad too).
still not sold on colter wall but sometimes an old school country record is welcome

Watched Smoky (1946) which isn't much of a movie, but it does feature a soundtrack from Burl Ives including a sublime (and previously unheard - to me) rendition of "The Streets of Laredo" (linked).
