Hey there. I'm new. Two of my favorite films I saw this year were Slash/Back and Burial. Both are excellent; Slash/Back in particular is outstanding.

Coincidentally, they were both on Hulu (thanks to my bro for getting the bill). But these are the kinds of movies I never hear about in the news, and definitely not from awards shows. I have similar complaints about video game journalism ignoring indie games, but maybe that's a different discussion. So my question is, if these movies aren't coming to me, how do I find them? I've barely scratched the surface of modern, low-budget film, and I don't know how to go deeper. Where can I go to cue into finding these types of high-quality, under-the-radar movies?
Where can I find more low and mid-budget films?
That's a very good question probably not easily answered. I would also like to know some sources.
