entirely too much chicken. i remember telling my mom she shouldn't wear dead animals :soapbox: she said only people who can't afford them say that

some things have changed! her silver fox fur brought about $60 at auction. wonder why the MAGA crowd isn't trying to bring those back into style

i don't think i've ever been in this particular store but i did work at a mall for awhile :? these were like high end anchor stores. i think most of them went bankrupt

Edit: Nieman Marcus is still open and there is one in scottsdale serving the ultra wealthy. Burn 🔥

neiman marcus was much more than a high end anchor chain - kind of an internationally famous luxury brand (maybe best known for their ludicrous christmas catalogs, which would casually offer up million pieces of jewelry and so on). pretty much dead now (i think they declared bankruptcy a few years ago?) and supplanted by more modern ludicrous boutique brands (goop, willilams-sonoma etc).

and probably even more famous as part of a kind of "dallas aesthetic"...

What were the two dreadful ones?

the general of the dead army - luciano tovoli (it opened with mahler's 2nd symphony, a piece of music that hardly any film visuals could live up to, certainly not this one, and the dialogue was like a porn movie without any porn)
the scream - barbara sass (am trying to watch mostly female directors at the minute but the 'tough girl=incessantly chewing gum' overacting by dorota stalinska was unbearable)

tbh not sure i am really enjoying any feature length fiction at the minute anyway, so the films may not actually be that bad.

this got banned for a few years, not surprisingly. stalin dies, the kids innocently enact horrific authoritarian games whilst their parents are off performing social obligations. children are ghastly.

Just got to this because I needed something shorter in length. This is a great find! Upsetting that I kept thinking of South Park the whole time though.

Cheers Sal. I shall try to keep SCFZ in my posting thoughts. I do tend to be an awful procrastinator when it comes to these sorts of polls, but I can try to improve, heehee.

And hello to flip. Long time no see!
