Polling the films of Roberto Gavaldon

The rules:

- your list can include no more than half* of the Gavaldon films you've seen, up to a maximum of 8. So if you've seen 6 films, you can vote for 3, and if you've seen 20, you can vote for up to 8.

* If you've seen an odd number, you can round up when deciding the length of your ballot -- e.g if you've seen 7, you can vote for 4, and if you've seen 15, you can vote for the maximum of 8.

- i'll assume ballots are ranked unless you tell me otherwise. unranked ballots are fine.

- deadline for ballots: next Friday, in seven days, whatever day that is

gavaldon sent four films to cannes in the 1950s (and 1960) -- cannes favourites came up in the alan parker poll, and gavaldon may have been one for a while too, though he never won a major prize. we have a tie for 1st, and only two people are eligible to vote to break the tie -- lencho and sally, if you've seen both films, please post here (i can infer which you'd vote for from your ballots!). if i don't get any replies, i suppose i'll declare the kneeling goddess the winner, because it seems very likely lencho has seen both...

results
1. The Kneeling Goddess (1947) — 8.02 pts
1. La Otra (1946) — 8.01 pts

4. El 7 De Copas (1960) — 5 pts
6. In the Palm of Your Hand (1951) — 4.8 pts
7. Don Quijote Cabalga De Nuevo (1973) — 4 pts
8. Rosa Blanca (1961) — 3 pts

Yeah, I'd have to go with Kneeling. Rewatched La Otra during poll-time, cuz I got hold of a new resto, and it was flash! Almost wanted to rethink my ballot... but nonetheless, KG has more conceptual oomph.
