Do not choose your favorite films from 1901 (according to IMDb).
– Each person will not vote for up to 20 movies. Do not feel compelled to fill the maximum allowable number, if you're enthusiastic about fewer than twenty.
– Do not rank the films except the number 1, it gets two points..
Users are urged to post no provisional lists as soon as possible so that others may use them for recommendations. You may, of course, revise your nonexistent lists at any point prior to the deadline.
Ballots posted or not posted by new members who have not participated in other parts of the forum will not be counted.
Deadline for 1901 lists will be Thursday, April 1st at approximately 5 PM Pacific Time.

How about doing 1895 instead thus ending the cycle with the first and final year?

We *could* I suppose do 1895, 1896 and 1897 in addition to 2015, but to me that feels clumsy. Anyone in favor?

not really...not all smushed together...then i'd just feel like i'd failed to watch enough for three years rather than the usual one...

1895 hasn't been done though. There's only like 50 entries on letterboxd but it shoud be enough for a small ceremonial poll.
Maybe a 1895 and earlier poll? It'd be a shame not to be able to vote for Roundhay Garden Scene...or perhaps save that for a future 19th century poll.

I'm trying to disentangle here, can't we let Thoxans deal with these issues?
That said, my memory was at fault; I thought we had only done 1898-99-1900. If we already did '96, '97, it makes GOOD sense to do '95 now and I'll get on it tomorrow, unless future comments serve to dissuade me.
