Great! Thanks, Thoxans! Midmonth is the ideal timing. I’ve got plenty of promising films from 1975 and will enjoy my time in the 70s uninterrupted for the next two weeks.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh finally get to take my revenge on the first year poll that left me feeling overwhelmed and inadequate (even if this means watching a hell of a lot of godawful creaky talkies)

At what point do we decide this situation is no longer tenable?

Just give us the next poll year, and you can become the new old king of the year polls instantly.

feel like thoxans asking for some extra time for an insanely busy period isn't too much too ask, especially since '29 is such a strong year for the forum. but i'm not the most active participant in the polls, so take that with a grain of salt.

Meh, I'd say the results are the least interesting thing about these polls. Let it take it's time.

Next year is quite easy to figure out if it's following the same pattern as previous polls.

1.0 was random I guess but 2.0 seems to correlate with 1.0.

just checking back in here. sorry about the big delays. pulled two double shifts this week (meaning two 15hr workdays), whilst trying to wrap up my current class, which has a big group project, not to mention the requisite final exam. should be able to have '75 tallied by tomorrow. meanwhile, for those who are interested, the next poll will be 1954

and if these delays are causing issues, then someone with more free time can certainly run the polls in my stead. would be happy to send the new schedule breakdown, if desired

lol, i've now seen over twice as many 1929 films as i have from 54, it's my worst year of the 1950s and i've only seen one of the dwans! from this perspective (of hardly ever even denting my year poll watchlists), i would much prefer thoxans to endlessly chill - a month, six weeks, whatever...who cares?

i very much enjoy the fact that the general ethos of this forum is a casual one, and would not dream of acting in a way that might change that
