I might need to revisit WINGS and THE LODGER, which don't seem to me to be at the same level as the ones on my list already. Does LOVE really belong there? We'll see. Edited to include L'HOMME DU LARGE, and re-edited to remove L'HOMME DU LARGE.

Plot:

An eccentric millionaire brings together four men who, under different circumstances, wanted to commit suicide. But that territory is populated by the worst band of pirates and evildoers the world has ever known.

Yeah, I've seen it. I put it with a lot of other movies as being okay but not belonging on my Best Of The Year list -- COLLEGE, THE LODGER, SUNRISE, UNDERWORLD.

I'm feeling like you feel over CHICAGO over BATTLE OF THE CENTURY, the magnificent Laurel & Hardy short featuring the greatest pie fight in cinema history. A great mad symphony of hilarity, restored to most of its original length in the last few years, and coming out on Blu-Ray in the coming months to make life worth living again.

And of all the Hail Mary-ing Hail Marys that have ever hailed Mary, this is just about the Hail Maryest.
