Danish Film Institute

DFI have launched a website to archive newly-restored Danish silents; their goal is to maintain on online library of some 400 titles. The first twenty or thirty are up already; the one I looked at had English intertitles, but I haven't come up with a way to download from the site, which makes them considerably less convenient for me.

Nevertheless, there's some mighty good stuff here!

there's more that don't have eng trans than do, but oh god the prints.

i'd pay for english intertitles. the danes do their film heritage proud. ♥

I just watched 'The ABC of Love (1916)' on there. Good old crossdressing Asta Nielsen.

They've got an Asta Nielsen theme running there atm with some new restored prints.
