Is the woman dance/walking indoors, outdoors, performing for someone, or is it just for the movie audience to see? Comedic or serious?

Do you remember if it was posted in the dance thread? I seem to recall grey daisies had some posts that could fit.

It wasn't the Denis Lavant Modern Love "dance" from Mauvais Sang was it?

To please the majority is the requirement of the Planet Cinema. As far as I'm concerned, I don't make a concession to viewers, these victims of life, who think that a film is made only for their enjoyment, and who know nothing about their own existence.

I have one. It's a movie I've never seen, but a friend saw it in New York City around 1960, and he didn't remember the title.

The movie is set in the Middle East, probably Syria, and it ends with one or two people fleeing over the mountains. In the final shot the camera rises to reveal an endless panorama of rugged mountains ahead of them, evoking awe and despair at the same time.

The movie is probably either French or Syrian or Lebanese. Anyone recognize it?
