yeah privileged man-child goes out with privileged death, if only we were all able to have that choice.
i'm ok, just feeling like my fondness for cinema has been inescapably exposed as a fetish for death, and that's all it can be now. wanna watch something grand and classic, like morocco or caligari but i can't think of anything that i haven't seen...

You'll hate me for suggesting a nazi film but death fetish, grand and classic all points to Opfergang.

damn, was really hoping it was just a normal hospital stay and not the end. his last album floating points was wonderful, he obviously still had so much energy and so many ideas left.
think karma might have been the first jazz record i truly fell in love with, when i left for college and got access to a much larger library of music.

Straub!
Had a feeling this was coming soon, especially after Godard. One of the last of the greats.

it's caturday and world famous mountain lion P-22 has passed away. he was 12 which is quite respectable for his species esp in the middle of los angeles. since 2012 he's lived in griffith park and sometimes hung out by the hollywood sign
To get to L.A., P-22 survived what most wildlife dare not try: he crossed two major freeways, the 405 and the 101. GPS tracking shows only nine pumas have successfully crossed the 101 to get this far from the mountains. When others have approached the freeway, they turn tail and run.
Urban development has harmed mountain lions physically and genetically. The ones in the Santa Monica Mountains are inbreeding because they canβt safely spread out and find new mates.
https://laist.com/news/climate-environm ... e-crossing
he inspired the world's largest wildlife crossing to be completed in 2025, the wallis-annenberg liberty canyon wildlife corridor. only about a dozen mountain lions remain in the santa monica mountains. RIP P-22
