A horrible tragedy happened to Sarunas Bartas last night. Here in Vilnius, a drunk driver killed his daughter, actress Ina-Marija Bartaite (25) who was riding a bicycle.

She acted in Bartas' film "Peace to Us in Our Dreams" (2015) and other films. She was a daughter of Bartas and late actress Yekaterina Golubeva who committed suicide in 2011. Golubeva had another daughter who is raised by her boyfriend Leos Carax.

Pictured here is Bartas, his daughter (right) and his second wife (left).

both the ancient prince philip and comparatively youthful DMX -- isn't he the one that was mean to dogs?? altho he was pretty good in this movie

Image

an old bf of mine adored but did not outlive him. that's how ruff riders roll

edit: yah this happened in arizona. joe arpaio was accidentally right about something
The carcasses of three dogs were found partially buried on the property in August, and one of the dogs may have been burned, the sheriff's office said.

"A guy like this DMX character, with all his money and fame, has no excuse for not providing proper care for his animals," Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Friday.

There is a beautiful barbarity of truth to Prince Philip’s racism, exposing the ugly hypocrisy at the very foundation of “Western civilisation”.

it is probably similar to the recent death of the richest local oligarch who tragically died (only 55 yrs old) while heliskiing in Alaska (while the plebs is kept under lockdown — ofc, i don't complain, i have my tiny micro-rentier income and plenty of free time due to plague).
the guy was a predatory capitalist at its finest.
he accumulated the initial capital by corrupting local politicians during state-run grand-scale privatization in the early 1990s.
when there was nothing to privatize anymore, he started a company called "Home Credit" (specialists on usury).
when too many locals ended in distraint (after taking credit from Home Credit), he moved his business eastwards (in Russia and China).
however, in Russia or China one can't do grand-scale business without political backup so he corrupted local foreign policy and the last two local presidents (the current one is well-known as Putin's slut — tho he is first of all PPF's slut.)
PPF is the umbrella company of Home Credit & alike (the local equivalent of Ndrangheta or Cosa Nostra).
PPF is ofc not a pure evil (similarly like Cosa Nostra or Ndrangheta) they give alms to ppl in need and are charitable.
when this local Capo di tutti Capi died on March 27 in subsequent days local news was full of hagiographies and plebs was sincerely mourning this tragic loss of a successful man.
one has to make oneself deaf and blind to be able to pass through this madness — not to lose sanity.
more sickening than plague!

It's a wonder Earl Simmons lived as long as he did. Raised in a series of foster homes til he was on the street addicted to crack cocaine at age 14.
With fame and money he was busted for cocaine and was in and out of rehab for years.

In January 2002, DMX pleaded guilty in New Jersey to 13 counts of animal cruelty, two counts of maintaining a nuisance and one count each of disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. He eventually plea-bargained down to fines, probation and community service and starred in public service announcements against the dangers of guns and animal abuse.

Filed for bankruptcy, twice. The first was in his effort to avoid child support payments. You see he's also the father of some 15 children and I don't think any of them have the same mother. I think he was looking to break Screaming Jay Hawkins record.

GOOD NEWS!
MY IMBECILE FUCK-HEAD PRESIDENT (PPF's SLUT) JUST ANNOUNCED HE IS GONNA RAISE THE LOCAL CAPO DI TUTTI CAPI (IN MEMORIAM) TO THE ORDER OF THE WHITE LION!
LET'S CELEBRATE!!! HAGIOGRAPHY HAS GOT ONE MORE SPLENDID CHAPTER!
AND THE IMBECILE "ORDER OF THE WHILE LION" HAS FINALLY BEEN ULTIMATELY THOROUGHLY DESECRATED! I WHOLEHEARTEDLY APPLAUD TO THIS GRANDIOSE BLASPHEMY! GOOD JOB!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_White_Lion

The Order of the White Lion (Czech: Řád Bílého lva) is the highest order of the Czech Republic.

In 1994, the order was re-established as the highest decoration of the Czech Republic; unlike in the past, it is now awarded by the President of the Czech Republic to Czech citizens and foreigners alike for outstanding services to the Czech Republic.

DMX is lucky he even made it to 50. In hood and drug years, that is probably closer to 100.

He was a definite breath of fresh ferocious air in the shiny suit era. He did his thing and left a mark. R.I.P.

the great tamil comedian vivek just passed away - https://silverscreenindia.com/movies/ne ... s-aged-59/

it's hard to explain why it's so sad, but for years tamil film (and to a lesser extent telugu film) had a tradition of these "comedy track" sequences, where very famous comedians (vivek, vaidivelu, goundamini, etc) would essentially write the separate comedy story lines that would stretch through most or all of a film. in the very best movies these storylines are perfectly intertwined with the action, but a lot of the time you get these situations where you have 20 or 30 minutes of comedy that exist completely parallel to the main narrative of the film. by his peak in the early 2000s vivek was doing 20-30 movies a year (he ended up with something like 220 screen credits); by the time he's in shankar's mega-budget rajinikanth vehicle sivaji in 2005 he gets nearly as much screentime as rajinikanth himself.

now there are television channels that play these scenes pretty much all day long, youtube channels, memes, etc, but this kind of comedy star is more or less a lost art; there are well loved comedy stars like yogi babu but it's not the same thing, they don't have the auteur quality where the film has to kind of bend to fit their comedy and writing style rather than the other way round.

edit: summing it up better than i could
