OK after one season of mad men I get why men are so pissed off now good show. Love the soundtrack
Women are woke and we're not going back to sleep!
PS - watching the americans while trump is under indictment for stealing classified docs and storing them in a bathroom at his beach club - 'THE AMERICANS' WOULD HAVE 100% KILLED PEOPLE FOR SUCH INFO - but now they can just walk right in! if this is good or bad i dunno depends on your point of view i suppose
“In the ’70s, women were given all sorts of lies,” she continued. “They just told us, ‘Well, you can be a man.’ And I guess we’ve kind of accomplished that. But are we happier?”
The attendees couldn’t speak from experience, having been born in the ’90s and 2000s. But Clark, who just turned 30, was very sure the answer was no. “What I’m here to tell you is, if you were to just go back to biblical roots in what God had designed for women to do, we will be happier,” she told them.
apparently some women are going back to sleep.... 'be feminine not feminist' - turning point usa

I started watching the first series (or "season" as yanks would call it) of ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING.
Two episodes in and it's fun. And also well made in every way.

loved vishal bhardwaj's agatha christie adaptation charlie chopra & the mystery of solang valley, which is a surprisingly classical minded whodunnit. probably the least essential thing vb has made, but sometimes you just want to see a host of incredible character actors in incredible winter wear suspecting each other of the death of their despised wealthy relative.
and wamiq gadi as charulata "charlie" chopra is just great; hope they make a dozen more of these.

I haven't taken the plunge, but this miniseries about the life of Silvia Pinal looks awfully entertaining, versions of people like Bunuel, de Cordova, Pedro Infante popping up left and right... There's at least a few people here that might find it interesting.

Just watched the first one this week. I liked how it started but once it turned into a running from the casino owner/bad guys I was less inclined to watch the others. Russian Doll was flipping phenomenal so I was interested.
Binged that first season of House of Dragons which was solid. The second season not so much. Also looked at the new Time Bandits which has some great bits in it.

Only Murders in the Building S3 featuring Meryl Streep was ok, but the format's gotten a bit stale for me now. It had the spinoff effect of making me watch the recent two part doco on Steve Martin's life and early career, about his mental state and thoughts about life, which was a revelation and good enough for me to want to watch again.
The Bear S2 (2023) Excellent. What a cast. What performances. Jamie Lee Curtis was great too in her few scenes as the unhinged mother. 10/10
I'm currently watching Beef S1 (2023) which centres on a Californian Korean community. It's non-stop mayhem with every character only in it for themselves, so constant lying and duplicity is the M.O. The sarcasm and passive-aggressiveness between some of the female characters is a lot of fun. It's a hilarious series and occasionally quite sexy from about the fourth episode! I'm 6 eps in, but I already hope there'll be a second season.

i watched about six episodes of beef, and i couldn't see the appeal, plot points seemed stretched really thin, and i got bored and never bothered to finish watching. so if the last few episodes of season 1 are phenomenal, let me know and i'll finally watch it all!
i should watch the bear, i think.

I wouldn't recommend you do that. If you hadn't enjoyed it after four or five episodes, you never will. I've enjoyed all episodes so far, some much more than others. It's obviously not for you. I think The Bear is great, but then our tastes are obviously different. But definitely give The Bear a go, and give it a chance to gel - a minimum of four episodes.

Introduced my brother to Twin Peaks. Loved it just as much as before, perhaps even more. I have grown fond of characters I initially didn't care for, but Coop is still the best. Will be revisiting Season 3 this February, hopefully.
Finally watched all episodes of Bluey. It's a beautiful show that more adults should be watching. Very creative and occasionally experimental episodes. One time, it reminded me of Playtime. Its short length (8 minutes) also makes it very easy to recommend.
But my main thing is still the Japanese weather show streaming on YouTube, Weather News LiVE. The programme's on-location weather reports are submitted by viewers through an app, so it's very interactive. I've been featured a few times, even though I'm still not fluent in Japanese.
The community is lovely too, and I've had wonderful interactions with both casters and fans. After my failed attempt to build a language-learning corner here, I'm happy that I found a place to interact with actual Japanese natives with a common interest there.

Watched Squid Game 2... it's OK but I just found it to be more of a Season 2, part 1 seeing as how they decided to extend it to be a third season.
