There it is. We did the poll, and even more shocking, my three favourites, including the underseen surrealist yakuza musical "Oh, Bomb" came up on top. Too bad we did not get more voters.

Yay! Let's see... my #1 choice would be Roger Corman. My #2 would be Roy Del Ruth, but I expect Corman will have better odds of working than Del Ruth.crypt trotsky wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 6:09 amevelyn, you can pick our next director if you like! i'll start the poll when we have a selection, and then get back on the normal friday/tuesday poll schedule
I tried Corman before and he didn't have a lot of views, but I've seen 35 or so and others had seen enough to make him work, but it probably won't be a wide variety of choices. I've also seen 20 something del Ruths, for future reference.

Seen 18 by Corman, and 6 by del Ruth.
ok well corman definitely will work, and it sounds like roy del ruth might in the future too (i'm surprised to only have seen one, since i've seen several from most directors of that era, might watch a few more) -- i'll start up the corman poll today!
