we're not going to find one screenshot that unifies us are we?
instead we prefer something that abnegates images. oh well. so be it.

I vote for one banner representing one letter of SCFZ in rotating order every month. If we're going to be a pretentious circle jerk, I want to go full boar. First month: S(okurov), Second month: C(imino), Third Month: (F)euillade, Fourth Month: Z(ulawski)... Fifth Month S(ono), etc. The longer we go without having to repeat a filmmaker, the more pretentious street cred we earn for ourselves. We can always degrade into film titles, or obscure references within the frame too. That we we have a permanent game... trying to see how the banner connects to the letter as we disappear further and further down the rabbit hole of our own meta-content.

I thought about the "what if God created the cat in his image?" scene from Resnais' Je t'aime Je t'aime, but it's gonna be too squeezed out. We're essentially ruling out 4:3 format films. I'll make a Pialat suggestion soon, however. I'm not sure about the font, though.

I hadn't even noticed the woman's hands were bound until it was pointed out. I liked that pic because it looked dreamy, like someone dreaming, and films are similar to dreams.

I like everything except cats, maybe I lean a little more toward an experimental film tie-in rather than film-festival winner stuff. Like the color-blind font and pantone. To quote Jesus on his little donkey, "Hell, I like everything."

Yes, but she's not naked and bleeding--we're progressing.

Any examples of what we definetly wouldn't be going with? I'm just trying to fine tune my selection process.

In honor of our lo-fi heritage, and in memory of Jiri, I'll repurpose a still from a movie I'm working on, that may be called Bagel/Bagel.

Oops, poor choice of words. "In hommage to Jiri" might be better. Nothing happened, he just ghosted away. AFAIK, his blog is still active.

i like the one without scfz written on it. if we want scfz written on it, then i think we'd need six images, so that scfz can be centered in the middle four images
