and now they say the vaccine rollout could be as early as next month. and trump isn't allowing anyone from the incoming administration access to their data. more people will die because of it. legislatures in wisconsin and michigan fed this monster by refusing to let the mail in ballots be counted before election day. and now nearly the entire party is silent on this because they're afraid of MAGA hats. i don't see how we work with this traitorous party AT ALL at this point. trump wants to destroy the economy to such an extent that they can blame biden for it at the midterms. and it will work

trump said he would do this all along of course. it isn't that surprising. if we actually prosecuted white collar crime he never would have been president

@kanafani, yeah, i guess i know that. it's a phenomenon on the left too. i think that explains why so many 9/11 conspiracists are leftists -- they hated bush so much they were willing to blame him for anything. it seems to me an example of that heider cognitive balance triangle.

Yep, I agree with you. I think this is a factor for everyone. And I can go on and on about how liberals who are currently outraged have engaged in similar behavior (in essence, quality and quantity may vary) in the past 4 years. But I don’t want to upset anyone :D

blaming bush for 9/11 is certainly easier on a psychological level than examining the pathology of how both parties and the news media and the general public basically gave him a mandate to do whatever the fuck he wanted for four disastrous years.

ny review of books has a decent article up (which i think is open to non-subscribers) about the question of prosecuting trump that is mostly interesting for listing the various obstacles to prosecuting white collar crime in general.

Both sides are evil. Sorry if I feel that one is slightly less evil! Hint: the one that's not pushing a white ethnostate

Trump is meeting with Michigan board today. Interesting to see just how far this will go. RIP democracy

Just for contrast hillary conceded at 3 am nov 4 and Obama hosted Trump at the white house 2 days later

cuomo getting an international emmy for his coronavirus mishandling right at the time america's mayor guliani is being turned into a national laughing stock is somehow perfect (by perfect i mean infuriating but i hope cuomo will be exposed for what he is for the non-nyc public a few years down the line).

i actually decided to read that sworn affidavit that confused minnesota and michigan. it also quotes a princeton professor who said he could hack into a dominion voting machine with "7 minutes alone with it and a screwdriver." but the professor himself says here that quote "refers to an older Dominion voting machine... not used in Michigan". the writing in the affidavit is itself hilarious, like this is a direct quote from section 13:

A look at the graph below makes clear the This is not surprising because the system is highly vulnerable to...

and it misspells a word in the third paragraph ("lead" instead of "led"). it reads like something someone wrote in about thirty seconds and didn't bother to proofread.

I think all the good lawyers quit. Rudy will probably get a pardon. Trump plans to go on tour with his stacks of affidavits and whine about radical left judges πŸ™„

Looks like New York state has subpoenaed records relating to Trump paying Ivanka as an 'advisor,' to a company that already employed her, as a tax write off. She's complaining about political persecution. SAD

Yeah, it's all been one-way. I've read quite a few articles now about the liberal media allowing aggrieved trump-voters a voice over the last four years. Completely unbalanced. And self-defeating.

Not sure we can get this lucky but Georgia trumpies are so mad at their governor they are threatening to boycott the January run off election -- which would give us control of the senate. Then again these are they same people who burned their nike shoes and bought Starbucks just to demand Trump written on the cups

gotta hand it to nbc. downright impressive how rapidly they one-eightied respectable tim russert's version of meet the press into a propaganda-spreading talking-points-stenographing infomercial first with bland neolib ken doll david gregory and now perennially balding chuck todd. of course, this is the same network that helped elevate donald trump, sooo......

unless there was another incident: chuck todd quoted an article that compared sanders' online followers (and trump's online followers) to 'brownshirts'. so chuck todd didn't call anyone a nazi, and no one called sanders a nazi. but in exhibit a of "americans don't do irony", an online mob used todd's quote from an article about online mobs attacking people unfairly to accuse todd of calling sanders a nazi.

There was another incident where somebody-maybe-Todd said that the extremism of Sanders/squad policy positions reminded him so strongly of Stalinism that they made him think of firing squads and reeducation camps.Maybe somebody with a clearer memory for nonessentials can describe that media moment more exactly.

My favorite is when joy Ann Reid brought on a body language expert to talk about how sanders clearly was lying about never telling warren that a woman can’t be president.
