i actually haven't seen it, but i was looking into jean rollin recently and i could sense it was by him. it looked like you'd only seen a few by him, and the name fit the vibe well so i just went for it lol

Lol, I was sure it was something I hadn't seen, but to be fair it's been ages, definitely time for a re-watch. I'll put something up and get the ball rolling again this weekend.

As I was browsing the film looking for stills, i was struck by how much of the film was not just: boy wakes up > boy applies for job > boy goes to job. Lots of other ideas and situations and interactions presented to bring about the rich full picture. I should rewatch as well
