For Spanish speakers, I suggest watching "Singing Lovebirds" with Spanish fan subs made at Allzine, ¡a rhythmic translation!

are the screenshots you shared the ones from the rip that was shared for cup? that is easily the worst rip of rangeela i've ever seen, and i've seen four or five. there's a really good one on avistaz and ptp. even the one on einthusan looks better...like frame size even seemed completely wrong.
edit - shared the small sized einthusan one which is a little better for framing and color. if anyone has avistaz ratio definitely check out the rip on there...

ahh thanks yeah i wondered about that too
anyway, rgv (who is a notoriously unreliable narrator, to put it mildly) on birth of rangeela -
although one of the great pleasures in rangeela is that urmila's heart never wavers - it's really just aamir who's afraid...Anyway, what happened with Rangeela is that I had a friend called Ramesh in college. He was actually a street goonda, not a student. Those days it was like Shiva – a lot of hobnobbing between students and goondas. He was in love with this girl, but he’d never go up to her. We used to encourage him to go and speak to her. He always used to wear these dirty chappals, and one day, he wore brand new Nike shoes. We all laughed and he was hurt. Then this girl started seeing this guy – very good-looking, very rich, the only guy who had a car in those days – so we chamchas of Ramesh would goad him to go and beat that guy up. And in a choked voice, he turned to me and said, “She deserves someone better than me.”
That was the birth of Rangeela. I wanted to capture his emotion, and the Nike shoes he wore became the scene where Aamir Khan dresses up
he's also kind of an annoying jerk. but i got past it

Dear SCFZ cup folk. I apologize for not being more involved in the wonderful films being presented. I have a physical thing going on and I just can't concentrate. Hopefully, it's a short term thing. All best, BD.

I don't love either of these movies but I like the musical sequences in both; a close match for me, but Singing Lovebirds is just so darned cute!

watched both of the movies today -- singing lovebirds was a pleasant musical with odes to jazz and 'cute' musical sequences (especially the katana fight in the end), but rangeela literally bowled me over, probably the only musical i'll approve off with rgv working on a different level

Rangeela needed more Amir Khan standing on cliff rocks gazing out to see.
