The month isn't over, aren't any of you planning to maybe see something and get blown away today?

Blown away by one or not, where I am, I still have six hours and 20 minutes in which to see maybe three or 4 feature films before the month is over. Even if I start playing a 90 minute film at 11:30pm on the last day of the month, I still count it as having been watched on that day.

If you live in Hawaii, you still have a whole day of films ahead of you.

I've spent most of the month catching up on the Western genre. Spaghetti Westerns/Clint Eastwood/John Wayne had put me off for several years but the taste buds of this forum has been very helpful in finding the right westerns to watch.

The films that caught my eye the most was the ones belonging to the Ranown Cycle. Lovely, succinct films, Randolph Scott moved and talked with such laconic grace. Ranked in order of preference, I guess:

The Tall T (1957)
Ride Lonesome (1959)
Buchanan Rides Alone (1958)
7 Men from Now (1956)
Comanche Station (1960)
Decision at Sundown (1957)

Other highlights:

Stage Door (Gregory La Cava, 1937)
Rawhide (Henry Hathaway, 1951)
Westward the Women (William A. Wellman, 1951)
No Name on the Bullet (Jack Arnold, 1959)
Two Stage Sisters (Xie Jin, 1964)
Seisaku's Wife (Yasuzô Masumura, 1965)
White of the Eye (Donald Cammell, 1987)
The Beach Bum (Harmony Korine, 2019)

Shorts:

From Sorrento to Amalfi (Piero Marelli, 1910)
From the Verbano to Switzerland Through the Gotthard (Piero Marelli, 1910)
The Italian Switzerland (Piero Marelli, 1910)
Life in Holland (Piero Marelli, 1911)
Brasil (Rogério Sganzerla, 1981)
