SCFZ poll: Robert Altman
Re: SCFZ poll: Robert Altman
i'll generally accept ballots on deadline day from longstanding scfz members, so if you wanted to participate, feel free - the only issue i have with late ballots is it becomes really easy for people to vote strategically. it hasn't happened yet, but i'd be a bit torn about whether to count a late ballot that elevates a new film to the #1 slot.

I can assure you I'm not voting strategically.
My top 5 Altman hasn't changed in years.

ah i posted my reply before you edited your earlier post to include a ballot. ok i've factored your ballot in, gives us a new #1 film, though if other late ballots come in maybe that will change again!

well, more ballots could still come in but 3 women was the original winner anyway, before i counted any late ballots, so it seems reasonable that it regains the top slot. i'll probably post all the recent polls to letterboxd in the next day or two though, and after that i definitely won't factor in new votes.
last minute lobbying: ugh someone please throw cbtt5&djdjd a vote! the player is a bad movie, and should never beat cbtt5&djdjd ever in any altboy poll ever. nuff said
Alright, 5&Dime isn't any worse than a couple of the others I selected and it is better than the Player, so I'll give it a second vote for the enthusiasm. But if Flip doesn't want the hassle of revising, that's okay by me too.
i was going to post a top 15 to letterboxd anyway, so 5 and dime is going to make the letterboxd list regardless. i can add another vote for it if you still want me to, though i'd need to know what you've removed from your ballot (and if that change causes problems, like a tie for first or something, i might not accept it).
I was going to knock off Quintet, which isn't all that good anyway, just strangely vivid in some strange fashion I find interesting, but if 5&Dime is gonna make the list I'll keep Quintet since I like it about the same and might as well represent for it.
