yeah it's about 8 hrs and i'm not sure i could have done it if i wasn't coming off bingeing mad men tbh. i can probably finish it today!

exactly as it promises (you've seen this misogynist story a million times before) inc brief courtroom scene, duels, destitution by the seine, apache dances, syphilis etc.

but i did appreciate the glorious callousness of this scene where she lights her cigarette with the telegram informing her that a lover has been killed
