RIP rosalynn carter (96), i expect jimmy will follow soon (he's 99). weird to think we once had politicians who lived their stated values. rosalynn and jimmy were married 77 years!

rosalynn worked tirelessly to get mental health and substance abuse coverage passed and it did pass, a month before reagan took office, but wasn't enacted until 2008. i'm glad she lived to see it, unlike the equal rights amendment, first proposed in 1923!
