New(ish) films seen in 2022

Post by pabs »

*"Newish" is of course subjective. For me, I've decided newish films will be imdb films released between 2018 and 2022.

The Power of the dog (Campion, 2021) 7.5/10

The Lost Daughter
(Gyllenhaal, 2021) 5.5

i saw Don't Look Up (Adam McKay, 2021), which is as didactic as McKay's two other recent political films, and not nearly as fun as it should be, but i liked some of the staging and the cast mostly does a good job. still not worth spending two hours to sit through imo

still wrapping up what this is but completely overwhelmed by Dumont's France, especially that spectacularly bizarre close-up.
