SCFZ poll: Clyde Geronimi

Post by flip »

Polling the films of Clyde Geronimi

The rules:

- your list can include no more than half* of the Geronimi films you've seen, up to a maximum of 8. So if you've seen 6 films, you can vote for 3, and if you've seen 20, you can vote for up to 8.

* If you've seen an odd number, you can round up when deciding the length of your ballot -- e.g if you've seen 7, you can vote for 4, and if you've seen 15, you can vote for the maximum of 8.

- i'll assume ballots are ranked unless you tell me otherwise. unranked ballots are fine.

- deadline for ballots: next Friday, in seven days, whatever day that is

I might just watch Alice in Wonderland, it's the only classic Disney film I've yet to watch, watched most of them as a kid on vhs but this one escaped me.

not sure if this poll got kind of lost on the forum or if most scfz'ers are like me and aren't that familiar with geronimi, but there weren't too many ballots. if anyone wants to post a late ballot, or wants to extend a list already posted (evelyn at least could vote for more, only if you want to!) i'll update the results. what we have so far, with no commentary because i don't know the films:

results
1. One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) — 15 pts
2. Peter Pan (1953) — 14 pts
3. Sleeping Beauty (1959) — 7 pts
4. Lend a Paw (1941) — 6 pts
5. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1949) — 4 pts
6. Tugboat Mickey (1940) — 3 pts
6. Lady and the Tramp (1955) — 3 pts
8. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr Toad (1949) — 2 pts
8. Mr Mouse Takes a Trip (1940) — 2 pts
8. Cinderella (1950) — 2 pts
11. Willie the Operatic Whale (1946) — 1 pt
11. Pluto’s Dream House (1940) — 1 pt
11. Alice in Wonderland (1951) — 1 pt
11. Pluto and the Armadillo (1943) — 1 pt
11. Education for Death (1943) — 1 pt
15. Pluto at the Zoo (1942) — 0.5 pts
