I'd have to say: The Sea Hawk > Captain Blood. Flora Robson as Queen Elizabeth is the brightest star, among many, and the Curtiz touch is on full display.

Hmm.. I'm a huuuge Curtiz fan, and when I rewatched THE SEA HAWK a few years ago, I was rather disappointed, cause I couldn't see the Curtiz touch anywhere in this now seemingly rather dull movie.
I hope my fond memories of CAPTAIN BLOOD won't follow the same downward path when I see it again.
