Hello!! V excited to finally join, I recognise lots of you from Letterboxd (and learnt about this forum from finding its regional poll results posted there.)
I've been interested in classic cinema properly for 2 years now and am currently finding my own tastes after working through a good portion of the Sight & Sound 2012 Top 250; I currently like Josef von Sternberg, Joseph Losey, Fellini's colourful phase, pretty much any overdesigned camp affair made pre-1980s. Nice to meet everyone!

Some of my favourite filmmakers are Vlacil, Oliveira, Pialat, Rivette, Resnais, Bresson, Akerman, Rohmer, Ozu, Kurosawa, Denis, Bergman and Tarkovsky.
I very recently converted to Letterboxd after being aware of it for several years but avoiding signing up because I despise all things social media but actually now I’ve finally taken the plunge, it seems pretty cool and useful. And after bookmarking endless lists, the most interesting ones contained a link to this forum (well, to your old forum that then pointed me here) and so here I am.
No prizes for guessing what my favourite film is.

Great to have you Marketa! Yes, I find Letterboxd to be a real bind - too useful and visually attractive for the film fan in me to not embrace wholeheartedly, yet too much a social media platform for the avoider of social media in me to embrace wholeheartedly.
