Anybody else noticing a bunch of art film on letterboxd having their poster replaced with cartoon monkeys? Is this someone attempting a viral NFT campaign or something? lol.
seems like the user doing it has been banned on tmdb. which of course doesn't change the fact that anyone can make a free account on that site and make pretty much whatever edits they want...
LB weirdness: I'm being flooded with new 'follows' -- like 50 a day for the last two -- and they're all new accounts and they all seem to be following each other. Are they gearing up for some collective attack, some kinda 4chan-coordinated left-bashing expedition?
they do look incredibly bot-like, none of their fave films make any sense etc...although for what purpose, who could guess. i am still getting to grips with copy pasta
but then i'm also assuming everything is cyber aggression these days. bulb blew in my house=internet bandits...best just to not go online at all
it's really been a difficult day all around. the neighbors across the street (second story, about the same as ours), who often let their cat (which i've now learned is named luna) out to play on the fire escape had a dreadful fright when they learned their cat disappeared! so they descended to the strange alleyway between apartment complexes to cry out the cat's name (apparently it's luna). but there is no real way for a cat to descend from the fire escape on the second floor to the pavement below, because cats can't operate ladders, so i'm not sure what they were thinking with this strategy. luna was up on the 5th floor, looking at them with serene disdain, until they decided they wanted to go down, and then seemed afraid at the downwards descent.
eventually the problem resolved, cat safe, and i had to go back to work.
Oy, green-e -- It looks like some of those Perrets that were bundled up in a Christmas box from Gaumont don't have tmdb listings, if that's something you want to do. The one I'm sure of isLeonce Aux Bains De Mer. Haven't checked the other ones.
if you click the blog link under the name, the person's passing is reported there, so any letterboxd user might have read that and then decided to notify letbox
