If I Were for Real (Wang Tung, 1981) -- a take on Gogol's The Inspector General, without Danny Kaye, directed by Wang Tung, aka Wang Toon, who karl describes as "the best Taiwanese director after Hou Hsiao-hsien." Nominated for the "Best Unknown Filmmaker" list by karl kipling.

looks like the Wang Tung film is up in resources (thx MrCarmady!) and i'm guessing it's the kg file, if anyone has a chance to compare the kg and youtube versions for quality before i do, please post here which is better!
I love outsider art so I was very glad to learn about Rizzoli, but from a cinematic point of view, Yield to Total Elation doesn't have much to recommend it. I quite liked If I Were for Real, on the other hand. It's a weird mix of comedy and tragedy and critique of Chinese party politics, and though it sometimes drags, its high points are very high.

achilles himself is an interesting subject, but the documentary itself was... for lack of a kinder term... modern art. spooky stuff. focus on the wrong things; no elation to be found.
other movie was decent! fine! good! could've been a bit tighter and a bit more to-the-point, but it was good
