I feel like the tie between Buster Keaton and Chantal Akerman is essentially the perfect encapsulation of my tastes overall. So I'm pretty happy here.

Godard being left shivering out in the cold is the biggest shock - though I suppose it could be seen as justified payback for standing up Varda.

Monteiro is the biggest surprise for me, and along with Zulawski the only one in the top 25 I have not at least seen a semi-decent amount of.
