ok, let's go with Jess Franco or Bo Widerberg or Chris Marker then.

Too bad we can't do Doillon - would have loved a marathon of his later films.

Jess Franco: 5 (but would not vote for any)
Bo Widerberg: 8
Chris Marker: 13

if one other person has seen 7+ doillon, we'll be able to poll him -- there might very well be one scfzer who hasn't replied yet who has seen that many, so there's a chance we'll be able to poll him sometime soon, and i'll be happy to check his views again if anyone nominates him in future

Let's do Marker then, that's probably the most seen and best liked. :D
