I created an iCM list if it is of any help:

#25 and #66 should be K. Kurosawa's Pulse and de Oliveira's Doomed love.

Re: SCFZ poll: Kenneth Anger

Seen 9. The only one I cared for is: 1. Eaux d'artifice It's so different from his other films. It must have been directed by his twin brother, Kenneth Tranquility. He made that one and Rabbit's Moon whilst living in Paris if I'm not mistaken, where he hung out with the likes of Jean Cocteau, hence...

The Ascent of the Matterhorn (1912) - Short documentary showing a couple of fellas strolling up the mountain. Nothing majorly exciting but it was a nice restored print (same vimeo page as the Le bellezze d'Italia short, def need to scroll through that page some more). https://vimeo.com/user23575894 ...

Shanghai Express (Josef von Sternberg, 1932) Been going through the Dietrich/von Sternberg box set from Criterion - this one is my favorite so far. Dietrich's performance is wonderful and I'm honestly somewhat overwhelmed. That box set looks so tasty. SE is probably my fav of their collaborations.

Hellfire (R.G. Springsteen, 1949) - This was a lovely, colourful RKO western. Marie Windsor as an outlaw that unwillingly gets a gambling preacher as a travel companion. A little preachy but what the hell. https://imgur.com/FOd1iAz.png https://i.imgur.com/WU8eE9T.png https://i.imgur.com/zCrQtD2.png
