i've been wanting to read the mountain lion for a while, but haven't gotten to it yet. i'm interested to hear what you think. the earthsea books are definitely more young adult than the hainish books, but they read quickly as a result and are definitely enjoyable.

after a long slump, where i did read a few things, i've gotten closer to my old self. reading gil scott-heron's the vulture. didn't know he wrote a couple of novels until a week or so ago.

yay! i think i've at least really enjoyed every one of her novels except for a breath of life, which was good but not as good as the others. i've been wanting to reread all of them for a little bit, but i'm trying to finish vanity fair and it's taking it's sweet time...

currently reading vanity fair, which is pretty funny so far. also been making my way through some b traven novels, including treasure of the sierra madre, which i just picked up today. crazy fascinating backstory on that guy, might need to get a book about the author at some point.

i really enjoyed a couple of his early novels (orchard keeper, outer dark), but read everything else up to the end of the border trilogy and really didn't get the hype at all. suttree was fine too. but i'm not sure there are that many highly hyped writers from the us that really justify it, so maybe...

i'm reading le guin's the dispossessed. really enjoying it so far. the later hainish novels are really my style.

didn't like confederacy of dunces at all, but i'm the minority opinion on that it seems.
