Funny, I was super-distracted by how much I thought he looked like 30s/40s actor Manuel Medel.

that's the more generous, less antisemitic interpretation :)

lulu - alexander von antalffy

i don't like this period of film versions of the wedekind story, even if asta did it better than erna morena does here (although in this one the tone isn't one of total misogynistic condemnation, it's just fairly dull) and i don't like emil jannings, so...

el beso de la muerte - fructuós gelabert, alberto marro, magín murià

also not a fan of these 'female hysteria' movies but do appreciate the total commitment to insanity. usually get a few mins towards the end, here she was gurning and clawing the air for a full 20 mins :) and loved the gossipy servants...

oh oh oh oh oh this gorgeous agrarian film is right up my chemin (wandering somewhere from capellani's countryside capers towards antoine's la terre, with side-winks by delluc and future epstein)

also appreciate the crotch/bum-checking/bed line of female desire here

(can supply if wanted, don't think it's even on KG)

do you need it, angel?

anyhow, even if no, if anyone else does want it, it's in resources (from carlos cano, who i pestered for it, if anyone wants to make a personal thank you via social media & god if i spoke spanish and understood what the hell emule was i'd never watch anything other than silent movies, those guys live in movie heaven and i have to not look sometimes otherwise i'd just cry tears of pure envy)

Thank you. I already got it via Carlos via emule.

The so-called Brotherhood of Silent Era (Carlos among them) is a nightmare at emule-based cineforum-clasico: They share a silent film per day with Spanish fansubs!

il fiacre n. 13 - gero zambuto, alberto capozzi

way way way too much plot but it looked much nicer than i was expecting until i checked and saw it was an s.a. ambrosio production (gonna be quality), and actor/co-director capozzi is sexy in a kind of massimo girotti way...fun....

unfortunately it opened with great fashion and then the rest of the clothes were a bit of a let-down..
