best worst movie was an enjoyable watch, even as it veered from funny to tragic, though it often didn't develop the ideas i found most interesting (i kept thinking what someone like jafar panahi would do with the re-creations of the troll 2 scenes twenty years later). i very much disliked la grande bouffe when i saw it a long time ago, and i'll base my vote on that, unless i decide to revisit the film this week or next (not too likely).

I didn't dislike La Grande Bouffe, though it didn't live up to the expectations I had, based on always seeing it described as a gastronomical Salo or whatnot. It's no Salo, but still, I do enjoy a good roasting of the bourgeoisie, and I'll watch Philippe Noiret in anything, so xEat takes the cake for me.

Have either of these movies been made available to us? I didn't see them anywhere.

Not yet, although La Grande Bouffe is currently streaming on the dreaded Mubi.

i enjoyed both of these far more than i was expecting and thanks to both managers for choosing them. a good match up in a lot of ways: both funny and deeply disturbing. i am torn! i have not seen troll2 and as a cult film lover i feel it can only be a letdown now *sigh* la grande bouffe is a better film but my vote goes to

xIntrigue
