All I'd like to see is a way to switch to a dark theme, the black letters on white hurts my eyes. I guess I spend too much time in the dark, but I suppose that isn't inappropriate for a movie site.

In addition, on the very top left, to the direct left of "Home", those three bars are a menu that includes Active Topics, which defaults to showing you threads which have had activity in the past 7 days (but you can change that to 1 day, 14 days, etc).

if you click there you'll see 'user control panel' where you can customize your profile and the board

By the way, yall may have noticed that when a topic has new posts it shows a little red page to the left. If you click on that icon, it'll bring you directly to the first unread (by you) post in that topic

I've disabled the old forum, as it allowed me to post an announcement that shows up on every page.

As I understand it, that means that posts can't be edited anymore. If you need to get at the BBcode in one/some of your posts, let me know and I'll turn the board back on so you can snag it.

Okay, we can embed. Ignore the lightning bolt icon; it doesn't work.

Simply type the URL of the page with the video, and the video will automatically embed. If you DON'T want to embed a video, make sure you select "Do not automatically parse URLs" in the options below before submitting your post.

Kanafani is the man to ask about that. He is working on some code that will download the old forum in a format that can be uploaded into this forum... but I think the guy who was helping out (Whyte Nite?) went AWOL. So if you know code...

Otherwise, your legendary Gringo presence is all we need, baby! Glad to have you back on here! Post it up! Everyone, if there were threads on the old forum you liked, you don't gotta wait for the person who started it to start it over here... feel free to create old favourites, or new threads, cool things you've seen on other fora that you'd like to see here... we've got a clean slate, let's make something great here, guys!
