I'm always grateful for a chance to see a new-to-me Ford, but yeah, the x1972 movie is just so perfectly observed and so acerbic while still being very empathetic towards its characters.

Told you only two people'd watch 'em.

x1972
Well, it's at least three now.
Marriageable Girls had me more emotionally involved with its detailed performances and the subtle camera movements accentuating the social dynamics within the group of friends; I could have easily watched a full film of their city trips. Flashing Spikes was a neat gem as well, I don't know when I would have caught up with it otherwise since there doesn't seem to be much discussion around it, even among Ford auteurists, from what I've seen.
Hopefully some more people will weigh in this week. I got too bogged down to keep up with the latter rounds of the cup so I'm glad I made time to give these a look.

Yes, bure. I win the cookie. Thanks to the three people who watched our shorts. Now let's never have another "cup" again.
