original is fine in cases where that's the title most commonly used (e.g. sanshiro sugata would be preferable to judo saga); otherwise, english please

i’ve had the same coffee cup for at least the past ten years; perfect weight, handle structure, doesn’t hold too much coffee or not enough, clearly doesn’t break easily like every other cup or mug, it’s truly been the goldilocks of coffee cups (it’ll probs break tomorrow thx guys...)

sooo, i'm a serial rewatcher. always have been. suppose i always will be to a certain extent. but my version of rewatching is mostly putting garbage on in the background while i do other stuff. you know how some people put on music in the background while they study? i put on movies that are either ...

Re: 1943 poll 2.0

i'd refer to the poll results. if tobi makes the final '43 list, that's enough for me to assume some semblance of community-wide consensus, thus making it ineligible for the '42 poll. not sure if i'll be posting the final lists to boxd, but if i do, then i may consider an addendum in cases such as t...

Re: 1943 poll 2.0

as with cycle 1.0, i don't think the accordance to imdb release dates should be hard and fast, especially if we as a community reach a different consensus. every single top hit in a quick google search for the ox-bow incident lists '43 as the year of release, except for imdb; and imdb's own page for...

the freshman (andrew bergman) this one was... weird? idk. it's certainly a curiosity piece, cuz on paper it's really just a safe, shallow, superficial piece of popcorn fluff (not much diff than analyze this or mickey blue eyes or any of those other '90s mafia-related comedies); but there's this cons...
