Re: Documentaries seen in 2018

I absolutely love Sarah Polley's Stories We Tell . What a magnificent storytelling of an intimate family portrait. Docs I've seen in 2018: The Farthest (Emer Reynolds, 2017) 9/10 Silvana (Mika Gustafson, Olivia Kastebring & Christina Tsiobanelis, 2017) 9/10 Where to Invade Next (Michael Moore, 2...

Re: Letterboxd Stats showdown: jimmy Stewart / John Wayne

I agree that not all of them were role models. And sometimes I too overlook their personas for the sake of interesting films. For example, Charlton Heston. Re: Letterboxd Stats showdown: jimmy Stewart / John Wayne

@kanafani , you can count me out of this one. I love these stats showdowns, but so far I have stayed away from John Wayne. Maybe one day I can forget how I judge him as a person and try seeing some of his films. Maybe.. :?

Re: The Films of 2018

For me, Widows (Steve McQueen) is so far the best film of the 2018.

Biggest surprise of the year- Cuban film Candelaria (Jhonny Hendrix).

Re: Welcome!

I am finally here. Been very busy these last few days.

Also, had to search through the old tapatalk to find the Fundraising page. Donated and it feels great to have a cozy home for SCFZ again.

Also, it took me a while to find a suitable avatar of the one and only Sea Captain.
