It can be watched here for free in 1080p and with English subs:

THE PRESIDIO (Peter Hyams, 1988) Hyams is a true master, and the machine-gun-fire-like dialogue and characterization, coupled with one of the best chase scenes in film history... The flud camerawork by Hyams himself is as always outstanding and his mastery of pacing and getting fantastic performance...

Yeah, it's hard. I have about 2000 favorites, but I've been doing similar lists a lot over the past 15 years, so one gets used to trimming down again and again. :o  :D

Blood on the Moon (Robert Wise, 1948)

A solid noir-western, with great acting by Mitchum and outstanding camerawork. Not one of Wise's best films, though.

I'm a mere 35 minutes in, but I simply love those early Charlton Heston movies like DARK CITY, PONY EXPRESS, SECRET OF THE INCAS or THE FAR HORIZONS, where it's ok for Heston to be...

Rewatched SEA OF LOVE (1989) by Harold Becker after 25 years. Still the only Becker I've seen...
